What is Raw Honey?
Raw honey is honey that hasn’t been filtered or heated. Most honey’s are stripped of its nutritional benefits through filtration and pasteurization. Raw honey is full of beneficial vitamins, minerals, enzymes, amino acids and bits of pollen and propolis.

Is honey healthier than sugar?
Honey is naturally loaded with antioxidants and is antibacterial and antimicrobial. Honey is unlike all other sweeteners which are acidic and put a strain on your digestive system.

Honey has been linked to numerous health benefits, including fighting indigestion, cough suppression, and decreasing pollen related allergies.

How do HHF extract your honey?
They still harvest and extract our honey by hand. Their honey is not filtered and only sieved to retain all the good things, like pollen. They do this to keep all the healthy phytonutrients in our honey.

My drippy honey has crystallized… is this normal?
Honey crystallization is a natural process, and all honey will eventually crystallize. It’s still the same honey, just a different texture. If you don’t like it, it’s easy to re-liquify. Just put the closed jar into warm water, and leave it there until it’s drippy again. To retain all the benefits of raw honey, including keeping the beneficial enzymes alive, don’t heat it too much.

How long does honey last?
Honey can last forever. It is the only food on earth that does not spoil if properly harvested and stored.

FUN FACT: Did you know that honey was discovered in Egyptian tombs. Scientists estimated the honey to be thousands of years old AND it’s still edible!

How is HHF creamed honey so smooth?
Simply stated, their process of creaming honey is entirely different. Most creamed honeys on the market are made in a traditional method of introducing small refined honey crystals to regular honey, and blending it in to give the honey a different texture. They use special custom made equipment to transform regular honey into a spread that is silky smooth and crystal-free. You’ll love their creamed honeys - WE SURE DO!

Does HHF creamed honey have dairy?
No. Our creamed honeys do NOT have any dairy or cream. They are dairy-free.
